The Keiki Rodeo is a signature event hosted by Hawaii Youth Rodeo ‘Ohana (HYRO), designed to provide young aspiring paniolo (cowboys and cowgirls) with the opportunity to showcase their skills and passion for rodeo in a family-friendly, supportive environment. Open to keiki of all ages and experience levels, the Keiki Rodeo offers a fun and exciting platform for youth to learn and grow while connecting with Hawaii’s rich paniolo heritage.
Participants in the Keiki Rodeo will engage in a variety of rodeo events that test their skills, from barrel racing and pole bending to roping and more. These events are designed not only to develop their physical abilities but also to instill values of hard work, perseverance, and respect for animals and the land.
At HYRO, we emphasize the importance of ‘ohana (family) engagement, making the Keiki Rodeo a special event for participants and their loved ones. Families are invited to join in the festivities, support their keiki, and celebrate the spirit of aloha and togetherness that make these events truly unique.
Whether your child is new to rodeo or an experienced rider, the Keiki Rodeo is a welcoming and inclusive space where all can thrive. Join us for a day of fun, learning, and connection as we continue to inspire the next generation of Hawaii’s paniolo!
