 At Hawaii Youth Rodeo ‘Ohana (HYRO), fundraising is a vital part of our efforts to support keiki (youth) in developing their rodeo skills and staying connected to Hawaii’s paniolo traditions. Fundraising Initiatives satisfy rodeo operational costs and support youth development programs that promote cultural education, community engagement, and personal growth. 

HYRO's fundraising efforts directly support:

• Rodeo Scholarships: We offer scholarships that help offset the costs of attending the Paniolo Academy workshops, rodeo competitions, and travel expenses. These scholarships ensure that financial barriers don’t prevent keiki from pursuing their passion for rodeo.
• Event Support: Fundraising allows us to host our signature events, such as the Keiki Rodeo and other community-centered activities that foster ‘ohana (family) engagement, skill development, and fun.
• Cultural and Educational Programs: HYRO is committed to teaching keiki about Hawaii’s rich agricultural and ranching heritage, connecting them to the land (ʻāina) and their roots through place-based learning.
